Towards a Regenerative Melbourne
What an incredible evening, being in a place filled with fellow Melbournians, talking about the possibility for our city to live in the Doughnut!
Exchanging ideas and discussing the next steps in making the Doughtnut Economics tangible and actionable was inspirational. It is exciting to be part of Regen Melbourne (mega huge kudos to Kaj Lofgren, Sean Trewick, Willow Berzin and all the other great people behind), and collaborating with this large group of enthusiastic and motivated smart people to reimagine a better Melbourne: For everyone to thrive in balance with nature is such an inspiring journey to share.
Yesterday, the report that presents a synthesis of the first six months of work together, ‘Towards a Regenerative Melbourne’, was presented by the amazing Prof. Kate Raworth, showing the possibilities and opportunities in front of us.
We follow cities like Amsterdam, Seattle, and Oslo, which have implemented the first positive steps towards impact and purpose, encouraging us to change our own systems towards a #regenerativefuture. The economy is more than a single GDP number.
Please feel free to download the report here www.regen.melbourne/ Thank you to all the wonderful people we met with and discussed #systemthinking and the Doughnut Economics model for Melbourne. We at Evitat are proud to be a part of the Regen Melbourne Network.
