The team that formed Evitat has a list of collective achievements that would make anybody sit up and take notice.

Industry veterans, rising stars and eye-catching innovators all working together to transform and disrupt the home improvement market.

To get one of these people is excellent. Two, really awesome. But five? Absurd!

Sonja Markovic, CEO & Co-founder

Sonja has more than 20+ years of expertise in the product and design sector, helping various companies, from the tech industry to retail and even the health sector, improving products and service deliveries through customer and user experience methodologies.

Sonja grew up in a family in Germany, with a strong interest in craftsmanship, engineering, architecture and building design. She understands the benefits of green building design and continues to explore old and new methodologies.

Prior to developing Evitat, Sonja was Senior Lead UX consultant for Global Kinetic Corporation in Australia. They developed a wearable device that generates a medical report to track Parkinson's patient’s symptoms. Her responsibility was to explore, envision and define the future of their customer experience, in line with their first commercial market roll-out in the US.

Srikanth Kondaparty, CTO & Co-founder

Sri excels most with solving complex problems, especially where he can convert his ideas into viable solutions for products. With over 10+ years of experience as a Software Developer under his belt, Sri had the opportunity to contribute to a variety of industries in Australia.

Sri will be responsible for driving Evitat’s technology innovation and leading the continued build of our market-leading core technology platform. Sri’s expertise is critical for Evitat’s success, enabling our home renovators and key suppliers to unlock the potential to build a sustainable home that they can operate through world-class technology.

Sri is heavily inspired by his father's philosophy of "simple living and high thinking" and believes in giving back to the community and helping others to lead a better life.

Armin Towfigh Nia, COO & Co-founder

Armin has over 20+ years of stellar work experience in the technology sector with industry-leading brands and start-ups in Australia, Europe and the U.S.

As a serial entrepreneur, Armin has co-founded the AI-powered SaaS business Hummingbird AI and HOOD, operating in Australia and the U.S. He was leading brand and product vision, strategy, development, and execution across instant messenger, web and social media. He built a groundbreaking team to enable the business to innovate with, on and around HOOD to serve millions of home movers. 

One of Armin’s first startup experiences was working with Stylepark, a global marketing platform for Architecture and Design, based in Frankfurt/Germany.

At Evitat, Armin is forming business models and partnerships that will help shape the future of the home improvement market

Willow Aliento - Researcher and Communicator

Willow is one of the highly regarded people in the environmental space, with over two decades of brilliant work and passion for science, sustainability and positive innovation in research and communications. Currently, she is undertaking a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science specialising in Climate Change and Sustainability at Charles Sturt University. 

Through working with builders, engineers, architects, specifiers, tradespeople, ESD professionals, researchers, industry associations, not-for-profits and policy-makers, she has gained a deep understanding of the products we use to build our human habitats and why they are crucial in terms of personal and planetary wellbeing.

We’re delighted to have Willow running our sustainable assessments projects at Evitat.

Ajeet Kumar - Senior System Architect

Ajeet, we don’t think there is anybody sharper than Ajeet Kumar when it comes to building System Architects. Ajeet brings over 13 years of experience working in various technology roles including senior software developer, senior consultant, team lead and technical project manager in delivering complex IT transformation projects across different industries.

Ajeet is steering our work on the automation and digitalisation of our clever marketplace at Evitat, designing a new experience for our conscious renovators, professionals and suppliers. This helps make us highly competitive from the others.
